Loved ones are uniquely positioned to help suicidal individuals. However, they need tremendous support themselves. The various services available to loved ones are intended to provide emotional support first of all, and then help them to assist the person who is in distress.

Individual appointments help loved ones, within their limits, to play an active role with the suicidal individual, while being supported or empowered to better help the suicidal person and know how to react in an emergency.
