JEVI Lottery

Today, I choose life and I choose to take care of myself. I am no longer alone with my suffering.

Too often, we keep everything bottled up out of fear of being juged. Yet speaking up can save a life.

2026 Lottery – 41th edition

Objective

$ 0

I don’t always have the right words or the necessary tools to support someone going through a period of great vulnerability. And I believe it’s important to acknowledge that with humility. Helping doesn’t always mean knowing what to say. Sometimes, it simply means knowing who to turn to.

That’s exactly why I chose to get involved with JEVI. Because the organization is there. The team members are trained, equipped, and available. They know how to listen, support, and intervene when every minute counts. They provide essential support to individuals and families who truly need it, right here in our community.

A word from Tania Boilar, Executive Director

The JEVI Lottery is much more than a fundraising campaign: it is the driving force that allows us to maintain the free and accessible nature of our services. It represents a vital source of funding, as grants cover only part of our needs. Your participation therefore becomes an essential link in our safety net. Read more

The JEVI Lottery – a way of working together

The months of March to June are crucial times for JEVI services. During these months, your contribution to the JEVI Lottery, our annual major fundraising campaign, allows us to retain nearly a third of the intervention team.

In the Eastern Townships, more than one person a week commits suicide, which means that JEVI needs to have the resources to implement as many actions as possible to prevent tragedies of this kind. That’s why the JEVI Lottery is so important. Your donations make a real difference in hundreds of people’s lives.

No matter what the background is or the causes of despair, suicide prevention needs to remain a priority in our society. As well as contributing to this cause, people who buy a ticket have a chance of winning some fantastic prizes!

Why participate in the JEVI Lottery?

We

JEVI provides resources in the Eastern Townships to prevent suicide and support suicidal persons and their families, individuals who have lost loved ones to suicide, and the counsellors who work with them.

Can

Thanks to your donations and participation in this fundraising activity, JEVI can maintain our essential services. It would not be possible for us to maintain our current services without your support.

Save Lives

We lose approximately 50 people per year to suicide across the seven regional county municipalities served by JEVI. That’s eight times more than the number of traffic accident-related deaths in the Eastern Townships.

Patrons

JEVI would like to take this opportunity to thank our patrons, who have supported the organization over the years.
